Licensed Mental Health Counselor

EMDR-trained psychotherapist in Bloomington, Indiana specializing in the treatment of trauma, mood disorders & general life transitions for teens & adults.

We all have trauma, obstacles, setbacks in life, or times where we don't feel our best. It can be a struggle to just get through the day. Sometimes we find that those traumas and obstacles are too big to overcome on our own, and we need help. Therapy can be an excellent place to process through and heal from painful experiences, gain new coping skills or improve old ones, and develop the self-awareness and insight to reach new levels of personal growth. Whether it's a struggle with a mood disorder like depression or anxiety, a major life adjustment like divorce, or processing through a complex or even painful trauma history, helping others heal and grow is what I love to do. Whether you’re ready to take the leap and start therapy for the first time or are revisiting counseling again, reaching out is the first step! Contact me to find out more about therapy and how it can help individuals navigate all types of mental health struggles and life events.

Areas of Practice

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic modality that involves both neurological and cognitive processing. Using EMDR in therapy can help individuals process and integrate painful experiences, past traumatic events, or distressing thoughts/feelings.

CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a long-standing modality of therapy with a huge body of research support. CBT addresses the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

TFCBT

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) is an evidence-based therapy used to address trauma with children, teens and their parents/caregivers. TFCBT can help reduce emotional and behavioral concerns for kids and teens, and can improve overall family functioning.
